Azerbaijan Travel Co. was founded and is led by John Daubenmire — an American who has lived and operated in Azerbaijan since 2022. Before relocating, John spent his career as an operations and technology manager in U.S. commercial banking, managing large-scale, high-visibility programs across M&A, mobile product, and retail operations.
That background isn't incidental. It means our operation is built around the reliability, contingency planning, and communication standards that North American travel professionals expect — and rarely find from a DMC in an emerging market.
We are not a local agency trying to figure out what Western travelers want. We are an American-run operation immersed in this country long enough to know it the way your clients wish they could — and we deliver it the way your business requires.

We operate on a wholesale net rate model. You receive a clean net price for each program or service component, which you mark up and sell at whatever retail price your market supports. We never interfere with your client relationship or pricing — that is your business, not ours.
We are happy to work within your existing itinerary frameworks or build from scratch. We provide detailed program proposals with clear per-component pricing so your team can package, brand, and sell with full transparency.
We do not require exclusivity and actively maintain multiple operator partnerships. This keeps us accountable to results rather than contracts.
We'll be straightforward: Azerbaijan Travel Co. launched in 2025. We are not a decades-old agency with thousands of tours behind us. What we are is a founder-led operation with an established local network, a growing track record of delivering for Western clients, and a founder who has been personally running trips in this country since 2022.
